The verdict is in...can I have a drumroll please!

WE'RE HAVING A BOUNCING BABY BOY!!!

Gina and I took all of Tuesday off to go to 2 doctor appointments. The first was to have the first ultrasound done as well as the amniocentesis test done. The gal in there was too funny. Even before we could tell what the baby's sex was she kept referring to it as "he". When we said something about it, she sheepishly said that she always said "he" by default. Who knows, maybe it was a sign! Well, Junior didn't really want to cooperate at first. He was lying breach with his legs crossed. This proved to be challenging to the technician who was trying to get all kinds of different measurements of bones and such.

Then she started pointing out organs. She would say "oh there's his kidneys" or something. For someone like me, that's a BAD thing! I'm too inquisitive! I want to see what she's seeing! But I couldn't see it and finally had to just believe that she really saw something there that looked like grey matter to me!

So needless to say, Gina and I are just TOO excited right now. I wanted to go bounding out of the room when the technician said it was a boy. I stayed seated, I just don't know how! We were also glad to hear that all the measurements so far indicate that we're right on track and where we should be as far as baby's size goes. He's about 6 ounces right now and everything down to the size of the head shows no indication of ANY problems. Whew!

Now if I can just pick a name and get the baby's room ready! Oh boy...I have some work ahead of me I think...I'd better hop to it!
