Dillon's Beach

Ok, who knows the answer to my question...

A gang of people from Gina's family went on their camping trip this past week...and they always go to the same place. I was familiar with the name although I've never been there before. I've always heard it called (and they all called it) Dillon's Beach...plural. So I look up the directions on Google Earth and it shows Dillon Beach...singular. So what's the correct version?

It really doesn't matter I suppose, just another curiosity to me that probably no one else really cares about. I'm weird like that, but at least I can admit it! We only went up for the day on Saturday since we don't have any camping stuff. We left at like 7:15am and ended up getting home just before midnight. Even with the fog early and constant wind, we had a great time. It was just nice getting away from the hustle and bustle that weekends typically are to just hang out with the family. We didn't have to cook...we didn't have to clean...we just had to hang out, eat some oysters (thanks Uncle Don, they were awesome!), and share laughs...which we both love to do anyway!

I have a couple of pictures to share here, but if you'd like to see the rest of them you can do so here...

And down the strech they come!

Talk about a race to the finish! These last few weeks have just seemed to drag on in terms of finishing the kitchen. For some reason, once the cabinets were in place, I started thinking that all the work was within a week or so of being done. It's not been like I thought to say the least. Don't get me wrong, we're very much ecstatic about how the kitchen is turning out thanks to Louis, Andy and Mike it's just when you start seeing things all come together...when you start seeing how it will look when it's all done, you can't wait for it!

Turns out all the work Gina and I did in trying to match colors for the granite, the tile, the appliances and the cabinets turned out fantastic too! We had originally wanted to do a slate color for the floor, but we could never find one in our price range and then couldn't match that color through to the tile back splash, counter tops, and cabinets. We ended up doing a more tan/brown color that looks awesome in conjunction with all the rest of the new stuff. It all went down last week along with the installation of the appliances and back splash. The drain pipes in the sink aren't playing nice-nice with Andy so far, so we only have one side of the sink operational right now, but check out some of the pictures of our new look kitchen!
